The Sister City Showcase

Thanks to Mayor Mike Murphy, the Sister City now has a showcase in the City Council Chamber
to display their treasures.  This past February at Winterfest, Nancy Hitchcock, Barbara Paulson
and Mayor Murphy were visiting when the idea of a showcase entered the conversation.  The mayor
indicated that there were several gifts from Sister City delegations stored in his office, Nancy said
she was storing several award plagues and Barbara knew of many Russian artifacts housed by
Sister City members.  Thus, the plan to secure a showcase to display these items was created.    
Mayor Murphy was instrumental in securing the showcase as well as helping to set it in place. 
Fire Mountain Gems contributed the showcase itself. Nancy and Barbara arranged the Sister City
items for display.  They plan to change the exhibit as Russian items of interest come to their
