Middle School Builder's Club
(Photos by Ruth Pepple)
After a report to South Middle
School Builder's Club about the Medical Equipment to Rubtsovsk,
the students collected 665 books in English to
send to the library in Rubtsovsk. Dressed in
Russian costumes, Carolyn Rice, Mollie Means, and Ruth Pepple went to South and accepted
the books for Sister City. Students also recorded some of the books on tapes
in the
school-wide project. 2005

BOOKS FOR RUBTSOVSK- PART TWO
Evergreen Federal Bank's Community Book Sale
At 9:30 on Monday,
May 23, 2005: at Evergreen Federal Bank (Grants Pass) Brady Adams
presented the donations from the Community Book Sale to the six
non-profits designated
to receive them. Thanks to all who donated books. It was
amazing to see how many books
there were! You wouldn't believe it! How it worked:
local citizens
donated books at Evergreen,
and for each book donated, one quarter ($.25 US) was
put into a jar of the donating person's
choice by Evergreen Federal. Evergreen collected over 41,000 books!!
Thank you, Evergreen! Photos below by J. Gosnell.
